Our mission to open Lama  Thangka painting school and shop is to preserve and promote this traditional art and to make women empowered and self confident everyday by giving them knowledge and skill in Thangka art  and also to build faire trade business that cares and respects to artisan. By this pure intention of an artist Mr. Ram Bahadur Lama, this institution has been established in 1972. From the establishment year to till now, we have contributed a lot in this filed on intellectual art by fulfilling the desire of art lovers from all over the world and produced  thousands of students from undermined societies parallel  in the field of schooling and making  proficient  teachers at the same
    time so that they can make bread & butter for family and art the same time contribute something for society. As it is a non-profitable organization from its establishment, it is also helping in different social fields like education for poor students, development of urban places, assisting different clubs and
    mobilizing people for earning livelihood programs. We appeal you allto give hand in this pure social purpose with your contribution.

With seven floors of striking architecture, UMoMA shows exhibitions of international contemporary art, sometimes along with art historical retrospectives. Existential, political and philosophical issues are intrinsic to our programme. As visitor you are invited to guided tours artist talks, lectures, film screenings and other events with free admission

The exhibitions are produced by UMoMA in collaboration with artists and museums around the world and they often attract international attention. UMoMA has received a Special Commendation from the European Museum of the Year, and was among the top candidates for the Swedish Museum of the Year Award as well as for the Council of Europe Museum Prize.
